This trimmer came right out of the box and was very effective. No matter what part of the body needs treatment, the trimmer will work and leave no irritation on that area. Love the battery indicator, it's nice to know how close it is to needing a charge (which doesn't happen often). Keys are pressed easily and reliably. The only small drawback is the position of the power button. I accidentally turned it off a couple of times during use which was inconvenient but not a huge disadvantage.
