Excellent quality collar. No longer pulls when walking. #leashreactive *PIX*

Our 55 year old rescue dog loves to daydream about riding the Iditarod when we take him on our daily walks. It is leash sensitive, meaning it will trigger on small dogs and lunges. This collar puts enough pressure on her neck to pounce her urges and saves my shoulder pain too. The rubber coated tips come in a separate pouch so you can put them on yourself. This collar can be made smaller so you are not tied to the exact size it comes in. We've found that removing a link works better. On her. It's easy to take it off and put it back together with the link below. It takes a bit of muscle power, but I'd rather have it clean and secure than light bending and juggling. Some dog owners don't use tips, and this is their prerogative. Our dog has a shaved muzzle and neck and needs prompting to protect his skin. When she hears us holding her collar, she realizes it's time for a walk and happily pokes her head inside. The fixed martingale can be adjusted a little, but not much. You attach the leash to the black part of the leash through the D-rings. We tried the looser martingale leash and it doesn't work as well on our dog. If she walks quietly, she will sag because she is lethargic. She can retreat with her head down. This view makes it more comfortable and we are in control. I appreciate this quality. I hesitated for a few years about buying it because I thought it looked cruel and offensive. It really isn't. This is a training tool that will help your dog understand that you are in charge and not him. You must be the leader of the pack. This keeps them on track and protects other dogs (and my shoulder) from triggering the behavior.
