These are comfortable pillows. I haven't had any accidents with them yet but they give me confidence, I feel like they will protect me if I fall. I can wear them for a long time, about an hour in my case, without any discomfort. The shin guards attached to the knee pad provide ample cushioning for my unicycle, which reduces discomfort around my calf and helps me feel more confident in this vehicle. For best fit and ease of use I recommend wearing knee pads/pads when standing with relaxed legs. This will help keep the protection in place. If you sit and put them on the logs, the guards will push them when you stand. Also, the over-the-knee halter seems to work best when buttoned loosely above the knee. Update: Originally given 5 stars. I have to get a pair. I weigh 175-180 pounds and under 6 feet. I ride an electric solowheel or unicycle, I stand when I'm going 19 miles per hour. I fell with it. Knee pads are difficult to stay in place. When I fell my right knee was fine and the knee pad worked great. But my left knee wasn't so lucky. There might not have been a kneecap. Too much flexibility between knee pads and shin guards. I still use them but have to constantly adjust the pads to keep them in place. I correct every second stop. If you sit while using them, they may be more useful.
