Bought in preparation for a trip to London. The product was as advertised and was very helpful on my trip. If you are coming from the US, you will need an adapter and power converter in Europe. This product contains both. This is a small power strip with USB ports and two sockets that you know from North America. The product comes with multiple adapters so you can use it in many places. It comes in beautiful packaging that includes a cloth pouch for travel. Simply select the adapter you want, slip it, the cord and the extension cord into your bag to take with you on your travels. I've seen people use individual adapter/converter blocks but they take up almost as much space as this product but provide additional outlets. My colleagues on a business trip loved the product as I took it into the conference room and used it to charge things while charging my phone via the USB port. Fan. Yes, the device has a fan. You can hear it, but it doesn't bother you. My device was left on the table in the conference room during the meeting and no one in the meeting noticed. I used it next to my bed at night and it didn't disturb my sleep at all. I think this is a good product. I was glad I bought it.
