They're pretty good, although I don't think I'd buy them again. If you lose your magnet puller, what are you going to do - lol? Sometimes they don't want to stick to the needle right away, and you need to flatten the fabric so it becomes magnetized. I end up using them but I have found that using baby diaper clips works just as well and of course is a lot cheaper. Also, these gears are a bit bulky and create a lot of impact in the corner. Also, we had a guest who accidentally stepped on one and broke it - so my personal opinion is that safety pins work better, are less bulky and are not prone to breakage.
