Review on UltraPlush Premium Waterproof Pillow Protector by Megan Anderson

UPDATE: I recently had to open my stash of these pillowcases as our pup was diagnosed with canine parvovirus and has been snuggling up on all the beds in the house. We were advised to wash all our linens in bleach and throw out anything that couldn't be washed. (According to the manufacturer, these pillowcases should not be washed in bleach.) I was so shocked at the poor quality of these latest waterproof Ultra Block mattress pads. The new batch was completely different from the pillowcases I bought in April. The texture of the terry cloth was rough, like burlap. The instructions say to wash them before use so I figured they might fluff up after washing. To my great disappointment, they looked like coarse sandpaper. I decided to put one on top of the pillow and put a soft flannel pillowcase over it to soften it. I had to take it off after an hour. I just couldn't take the harshness and noise. This new batch of Ultra Block pillowcases was like putting a plastic rain poncho covered in sandpaper over my pillow. Such a shame. I would not recommend this product now. Second update from April and May 2019. Since the original pillowcases were the best we have ever bought, I decided to give it another try. I was very happy to receive these wonderful, plush, silent, cool protectors that I originally bought. I quickly ordered 4 more sets! Because I was so disappointed with my previous batch I tried so many other protective pillowcases but none of them could compare to this one. These protective pillowcases have been a great investment for me as they last much longer. than i expected. I have several sets that have been washed hundreds of times in the last year or so and still work great just a little whiter than new sets. I will probably buy a few more sets for my closet. I highly recommend this product. but I would definitely do a touch test to see if they feel like a beloved teddy bear. 😃April 2018 Pillowcase Review: My family loves these pillowcases! The terry fabric is so soft and plush that my kids love to sleep without pillowcases. My daughter says it's like sleeping with a soft teddy bear under your head. They are truly waterproof and very stain resistant. My son spilled acai puree on one of the boxes. The puree didn't ooze onto the pillow, and a light rub with a mild detergent brought the stain out right away. At one point he also got a nosebleed and the blood dried on the pillowcase before I realized it. Surprisingly, with a little mild detergent, the stain was gone! These pillowcases are also very quiet for sleeping. I highly recommend these pillowcases. After my first order I ordered 5 more sets. When I came back to order more I was so disappointed that they were out of stock. After months of searching I was so happy to see them back in stock and ordered 5 more sets to have in my linen closet.
