My 10 year old granddaughter got the camera. I did a lot of research to find out which camera suits her best. She had several other cameras, but they broke easily or were too childish for her. While I felt that a kids camera might be overpriced, the whole point was to get her a sturdy camera, and cameras with similar specs cost at least twice as much as this one. I chose to sacrifice image quality as it was intended for a child who probably wouldn't be too picky if their photos or videos weren't perfect. So she got the camera as a Christmas present and after 30 minutes of camera training. Functions and some photography basics she was away and took great photos. She also dreamed up the clip herself and started filming everything she could think of. Also, the smaller size of the camera fits her hands perfectly, and she shot photos and videos all day with a half-charged battery out of the box with no problems. Their camera lasted longer than the other two cameras which were more expensive! Conclusion - a very good camera for the money. Nothing for the pros, but great for us "Joe". By the way, I thought I would sacrifice image quality, but I'm not. This camera takes some clear photos.
