Revainrating 2 out of 5

Well I loved it and still love the idea but after about a month of use it gave up.

This is a very interesting product and when I started installing it I was amazed by its performance, fit and finish, price and demonstrated it in combination with two Dayton mufflers. what food to go with it. I replaced a cheap bluetooth booster with some flaws with one to get more features, connectivity options and longer bluetooth range, all available in a standard socket instead of hiding a bluetooth board. somewhere. Delivered well. 25ft Bluetooth range, crystal clear sound with Dayton speakers, extra connectivity and USB, everything was perfect. except one. The speaker jacks were cramped and oddly placed, so I put the whole thing in a two-post box, which I figured would give the whole thing more breathing room anyway, and a switch for the recessed LED lighting in another added space. I was as happy as I could be. In fact, I kept demonstrating it to people and everyone was amazed. I'm in the business of converting a cargo trailer into an RV, and this $30 Bluetooth amp/receiver and $30 Dayton audio driver was by far the most popular aspect of the build. Well, I'm not sure what's wrong, but I no longer get amplified speaker output, even though everything else works. Well unfortunately the amp was the most important part for my application so I just plugged my $9 bluetooth amp back in and thought about ordering another one because it was great when it worked. but the price went up from $30 to $40 so I decided not to buy another one. I should note that I did not contact customer service or attempt to return the product as the return period expired when it stopped working. I'm torn on how many stars to give because when I received it it was one of my favorite purchases ever. I've been playing this thing day and night and I'm pretty sure the amp is on all the time and the distance between the speaker terminals and the standard jack board has meant that the amp compares to other Bluetooth amps I've used , dropped out prematurely . I'm giving it 2 stars because it may need more space and/or heat dissipation in the design, but I'd like to give it more stars for its performance if it worked well. If you install it indoors in a 2 gang outlet and don't use it more than 4-5 hours a day, you probably have a great little stereo with this and a couple of speakers. I thought long and hard about trying something different and decided to stick with what works. and indeed the $10 price increase was a big factor that kept me from buying another one. There's just something about buying for $30 that you don't have to worry too much about if it breaks. If I were to buy a new one I would have $70 and I was worried it might break at any time so that was it. It's a 5 star idea and they almost nailed it with execution. Consider it a 2.5 star rating and good luck if you decide to give it a go.
