Deformation from extreme heat

I am an alcohol ink artist and I usually use Yupo paper for my work. I use an embossing heat gun to agitate and dry the ink. I'm used to using a medium duty Yupo heat gun with very little if any warping. I'm not sure if it's because the paper is round or just lighter than the average Yupo, but the warping was so severe that I couldn't finish the piece because the paper became unusable. This paper seems to be suitable for work with little or no heat, but even with low heat there seemed to be a lot of warping. I like that they do rounds, but I'll probably bite the bullet and go back to Yupo and cut my own rounds.

Pros
  • Affordable premium synthetic paper
Cons
  • Fading
