We ordered this unit as the Canon brand was in stock and was due in about a week. It seems to work. We had to do a thorough cleaning of the printhead, but I'm not sure what caused the need for cleaning. Maybe it's not the cartridge. But after cleaning the head there are no problems. It appears to be sufficient for the same number of pages as the previous branded cartridge.
