Dog Habit Rescue Device

I can't say enough good things about this device! The only negative I can think of is that the batteries were a bit difficult to align and then put the cap back on, especially with the remote. We finally got it right and put it on our 3 1/2 month old Dobie. I set it to "2" (out of 8) and took it for a walk down the alley. He had a very annoying and potentially dangerous habit of eating debris out of our alley! No, not a pea-sized rock. The stones are quarter sized and jagged! The doctor said it was very rare, but it did happen. If the stones had gotten stuck between the stomach and small intestine, it would have definitely killed him if he hadn't had surgery right away. Sobering thought, I did some research and found this remote control collar. This gripping and swallowing of stones became a game for him! Anyway, I walked him down the alley with a collar and remote control in hand. As soon as he took a sip of stones in his mouth, I yelled "NO.DROP"! At first he was confused, but then he threw the stones and moved on. I did it again and I think I made it. On the morning walk he didn't hold on to the rocks. A little later I released him without a collar and he grabbed a rock. I pointed my finger at him and yelled at him "DROP". That's exactly what he did. In case you're wondering, he has an excellent diet of raw meat/cheese/quality puppy food/sometimes raw eggs and Super Food dog powder that you can sprinkle on anything. He also has access to bone marrow and sternum from a local meatpacking factory. There must be something in those stones! It's also a bit funny because I found small piles of debris in the yard in the morning. The local possum would come in at night and "clean up". That's what happens in the country.
