I bought 2 of these in Virginia Walnut + Silver to match my natural cherry wood furniture and the satin nickel accessories and door hardware in my house. I'm trying to get away from the black of the 1990s and brighten up my small living room. A regular coffee table will not fit my new daybed, so a 17-18" wide C table that will fit 24" armrests. and works between the back cushion and front foot while I recline and watch a movie or want it out of the way. It also needs to be wide enough to place a laptop or dinner plate + drink in front of the sofa, so small "snacks" The tables don't work for me. Legs that fit under the sofa were also an issue, as the chair mechanism and hidden support leg protrude only a few inches at the ends, despite 5-inch legs. The table is 24 1/2" wide so the armrests and my knees are free, but it's not adjustable and sits at chest height, so too high for use with a laptop, but fine for reading a book. They are very durable and rated at 125 pounds so should survive when the grandkids goof around This C table is a lot more expensive than many other plain steel + fake OD tables but it seemed like the only one that fit Color evoking 'Virginia Walnut" more reminiscent of an oak color of the 1980s, there is nothing in the mid-tone teak or natural cherry. Series with brushed nickel base. :-(The silver base also does not go well with the brushed nickel, the brushed aluminum of some furniture legs or the stainless steel that surprised me that they couldn't do better in terms of paintwork, or the nickel frame.I have no idea what the house light is - the silver color should match.So minus 1 star.So I can use it e.g I'll return it if I can't find anything better (or a better painted wheel finish?) next month. The top is just a board of faux wood attached with 4 screws so it can easily be replaced with a piece of shelf wood.
