This is normal. My sister has battery powered clippers and she cuts her hair better. Mine is powered by a cord. Maybe my hair was originally too long and with care the device works better. It felt like I had to go over the same areas multiple times or stay in one place for a while before my hair got cut. I like the thickness of the device; it feels good in the hand. It's easy to use, but there was a slight learning curve with swapping out two different heads. The heads are so small that it is difficult to grasp them. They just screw on and off, but I was sure at first they weren't securely fastened. Now that I've changed them several times and used them on different parts of the face, it's become easier to use.
