Transparent worse than black
Maxtek sells a clear version of these thin cases and a black version. I bought both. The transparent version is worse than the black one. The clear version is thinner, harder to open, and smaller (not as wide) than the black version. The transparent version also seems to be a bit warped. Also, the clear version is just a single piece of plastic that folds up. The black version consists of 2 plastic parts that are connected with hinges like most CD cases. The transparent version is made in China, the black version is made in Taiwan.
- Strong and not easy to break.
