I took them for 3 runs in the rain. Here's what I think: I'm a bit of a headphone snob. I have a lot to choose from, but I'm very picky about what I look for. How picky? This is my sixth attempt at finding the right headphones for running and other workouts. I finally found it! Just for reference, I have a B&W C52, a V-Moda m100 and a Sennheiser HD 800 S and I love all of these premium headphones. I've been using Sennheiser OCX685i Sport headphones for a few years. They're very good, but have a slightly musty sound, little warmth, and lack the bass you need when you're running around looking for an adrenaline rush from your music. Whenever there was something new, I tried it out (and returned it), hoping to make a significant upgrade. Together with Sennheisers I tried Bose Soundsport (didn't like the outdoor sound), Jaybird X2 (permanent Bluetooth). connectivity issues in my densely populated urban area) and Powerbeats 2 and 3 (the seal didn't work for me and I didn't like the strap on the back). I gave up bluetooth and now prefer wires because they are usually lighter, sound better, last longer, are more reliable, battery free and cheaper! They sound fantastic, and compared to Jaybirds and Powerbeats, V-Moda Forzas are cheaper and worth every penny. They sound just as good, maybe even better, than the Jaybirds and Powerbeats in my opinion. They're quite detailed, with a very good soundstage, and yes, they contain V-Moda's signature bass sound. My only initial complaint was the location of the remote control. I prefer it lower in the chest area, with the Forza remote under the right ear. I didn't think I'd like it, but after trying it I didn't notice any of this. I don't like reaching that high to change the volume, but it doesn't really matter much. The packaging is the best I've seen on headphones. It comes with a variety of hooks, wings, and silicone tips. I use hooks and it works great. It took me a while to find the right position and get comfortable, but now it's automatic and works great. They are comfortable and I NEVER have to make any adjustments while running. I usually go for a 3-5 mile run. The seal is perfect for me. If you are looking for WIRED physical activity headphones, I think they are the best out there right now.
