Review on Hypertech 752501 Speedometer πŸ”§ Calibrator: Maximizing Accuracy and Control by Lamar Marshall

pain in the ass. ! on speedometers

At first I used various programmers and diagnostic tools that connect to the OBD port. So it's not the first thing I use. I read some reviews about how easy it is blah blah blah ok so be it. That didn't work for me. I don't remember the screens that kept popping up, but when I was told to plug in the device and turn the key on but not start, it kept repeating as if the device wasn't connected to my truck . I think it was the down arrow, but she never got past that point. My only guess. based on some other reviewers. maybe it was the current draw that spoiled the process. Who knows. Other reviewers AND the instructions made it seem like there was NO power consumption during the first few steps. ? this. Radio, flashlights, chargers. This is easy to understand but seemingly impossible to achieve. My radio turns on automatically, dash lights up, interior lights etc. Some have suggested pulling the appropriate fuses etc. Am I saying you can't be serious? It's like trying to pull out all the right fuses but keeping the right ones. You are unlikely to be able to do this. So after ten unsuccessful attempts to complete the steps, I gave up. Was there perhaps a small step that I missed? This isn't the first time I've overlooked something, but I've tried many times to no avail. Was it a running draw? Who knows. All I know is that I couldn't get it to work. If anyone has an idea, please let us know. I still have to reprogram my speedometer, but I returned the programmer before I threw it through the windshield.
