I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't a bit damaged right out of the box. A half inch razor cut down the side of the ankle that didn't go all the way and too much abrasion on a brand new boot in my opinion. But. Damn good boots! Full leather construction and very comfortable right out of the box. After my first day of wearing them 10+ miles today (I'm a civil engineer in NYC and do a lot of walking), I have no complaints. The bottom is grippy despite not really having a heavy profile, and they're stitched with Goodyear welts, which is pretty much what you'd expect in a boot. I was actually surprised to see such a cheap Goodyear frame on a boot, it's more difficult to make and requires a bit of tweaking but you end up with a better boot. Nice looking boots, as long as I don't destroy them I can wear them both in town and at work. My only complaint was that they had a few scrapes and what appeared to be a small cut from a razor blade on the outside of my right ankle. Considering I'll probably do so much damage to them in a week I can't complain about that, but if you're buying these boots for fashion I can see it's a problem, hence the four stars. I would order them again in a heartbeat if they are about the same price and last a long time. I wear the boots quite often so keep an eye on the date of this review, if they don't fit they fall apart quickly and I will update the review. In this case, no news is good news. Regarding sizing, several reviews recommend ordering half a size down. I did this and while they are neat they are not too tight. Full leather boots also stretch a bit and are more comfortable in my opinion. It's close enough to be a personal preference and not such a big deal, but I think most people will be fine ordering their normal size, unless of course you like tight boots. If you have really wide feet you might want to look into other shoes, they are a little thin but so is my foot.
