I didn't want to buy this as I figured a small board wouldn't make a good scratching post. However, I'm glad I bought it. Some say the board is moving. It helps a little but my cat Chloe can hold it with her body to scratch. We had huge scratching posts that Chloe just lay on. Instead, she scratched the furniture and carpet. But she really likes this little inexpensive board. She often itches. She even likes to lay her head on it or even sleep on it. We've had the board for three months now and haven't flipped it to the other side yet so I think we got a good bang for our buck.
