My dog is good and won't run away. It carries out many verbal commands and is easy to use. Their problem is jumping at guests and strangers and jumping on their laps uninvited. When it comes to this behavior, she's out of control. She is always trying to get close to our guests or strangers she meets. I bought this collar to teach her to wait until invited to visit guests and strangers. I love that the collar fits my 10 lb dog and also my friend's 70 lb dog. My girlfriend also wants to train her dog. The directions are well described and easy to understand. I used it for close range training and it worked great. My friend will need it for long distance training as her dog will run away if not hand held. I like that it can be used for dogs of both size and distance required. I like that there is a range of vibration and shock intensities. My dog is small and the lower intensity did her good. She quickly took root even though I had only just begun her training. My friend's dog is bigger and less obedient so I suspect he will need more intensity to train. Having just started training, I don't know how my dog will react after training without the training collar. She hasn't been seeing people that much lately. I haven't tried it in public or with strangers yet as people have different opinions on this type of training. I think it's humane because the intensity can be controlled in a way that doesn't hurt your dog but is uncomfortable enough to get his attention. At the moment I definitely recommend this product to anyone who has a behavior they want to change in their dog. So far, so good.
