The Dell S-Series LED monitor promises to be one of the best all-around monitors out there. It can be used for gaming as well as for general use. But there are a few quirks to be aware of if you have special needs. PROS: ++ Very good build quality with a thin bezel for almost borderless viewing ++ Crisp/clear HD resolution with the right settings ++ Built-in speakers to enhance the sound compared to your laptop's speakers ++ Easy to use Screen settings via Change buttons++ Ports slightly hidden at the bottom of the monitor back (attractive setup but takes longer to change)++ Included cables and accessories save time on shopping++ Included video ports for VGA and HDMI connections (adapters required for DVI)++ 3.5 -mm audio input and output for sound++ Simple design offers intuitive setup, printed and electronic user manuals to guide you when needed++ Approximately 8 lbs, below average weight for a monitor of this size. CONS: - The back doesn't offer easy compatibility with standard monitor stands and bases (the included base is fine, but if you have one on a base or stand it probably won't work without some sort of adapter that's not included is kit) -- Also not VESA mountable (wall) -- Refresh rate capped at 60Hz and doesn't support 4K -- Color profile does have a yellow tint (although I've found using the "Gaming" setting gives better and more balanced results provides results) CONCLUSION. VESA riser. And the color profile might make this phone less appealing to those looking to use it for graphic design and the like. But with the workaround listed above, I'm happy with the color and performance of this device on my workstation. In terms of attractive looks and quality construction, this S series looks impressive.
