I love these RCA earphones. The sound quality is decent for the average user (I'm no expert here). And it fits perfectly - very light, flexible plastic floats behind the head and soft over the ears - just a very simple design that works. The cord is covered in a durable woven fabric and they have endured in my everyday purse, been used for running, worn on planes and sat down a few times in the last 9 months. My only problem with it is gone. Once I figure out the flimsy foam earpads they give you don't last more than a year, and then you're stuck with a rather uncomfortable (and noisy) set of plastic earbuds and the prospect of co-opting both earpads from other headphones for a less than perfect fit or knit your own. My customer service experience with RCA is a detour from their corporate website to their distribution network, at which point I hit a dead end - apparently I can't even get replacement foam covers because this product is obsolete and no longer manufactured. It's not an expensive headset, but RCA fell to get back orders from me if not headsets for my family due to a minor design and logistics issue that caused a mediocre brand experience from a potentially exceptional product. The foam covers are for life. I still give this product 4 stars because it's very comfortable and perfect for me in all other aspects (and some neck products really aren't that good) and I expect it to be durable enough to last a while with some spare ear pads. I'm sure I can find somewhere. somehow.
