So I bought this mount because I decided it was time to get it. Handy for driving and raising your phone at or near eye level for directions. The fit is not nice. The magnet function and fixation was suitable for my iPhone XR with a thin hard case. The ability to adjust the mount is nice. I have a problem with the suction cup. First off, this really is no ordinary sucker. It had a layer of reusable sticky gel on it. I suspect they use this for variable textured and untextured surfaces. I used it in my 4Runner with a smooth dashboard finish. It was almost a completely flat patch with no texture at all. The first moderately hot day, and after my phone was on the mount for about five minutes, everything fell off. So I removed the sticky stuff and figured there was a real suction cup underneath and I might as well just use it. No, it's not, and now it's not attached to anything. You can see in my photos. So I'll look for another mounting option. Just disappointed they don't use a real sucker. Plus it's a good mount if you're not trying to use it with a big, oversized phone.
