I set aside my backpack with all my just-in-case stuff—extra earplugs, a spare battery, a marker, a compact cloth tote bag, and a book I've read—and instead carry a small purse that's big enough to a comb, pen, thin wallet and my cell phone. But things that used to be in my old wallet didn't fit in the slim wallet, cards like my library card, my AAA card, etc. that I like to keep with me. It's easier to cram up to 10 into that little sleeve than finding a small, big wallet for all my cards that still fits in a tiny purse along with a phone.
