I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter and she loves it. Your mare is constantly playing with her mane and this helps a lot in not rubbing it when she puts on her bandana. We combed her mane before use and then put this hood on. A week later, the hood was removed to be combed again, and her neck was not tangled at all. Air conditioning was not needed as if we never left it. Overall I'm very happy with this product and hope it helps her mane grow a bit. Not the highest quality material, definitely cheaper lycra but does the job. I knew it wasn't great quality but for the everyday horse owner it gets the job done.
