Works well with older fixed mount sports stars. (Mine is 1997) Will have to remove the triangular cover behind the battery to access the frame during installation. Removing the seat makes it a lot easier to see what you're doing. The plastic backing of the bag rests against the rear caliper rather than the swingarm, which isn’t a problem. I routed the rearmost mounting strap around the bottom of the shock to pull it parallel to the corner of the shock. I left the rear kickstand installed for now and it's still usable, but mine is longer than stock (sometimes I use a suction cup rear seat). The bag looks well made and fills that "empty space” on the left perfectly. Handy to have some storage for small items/lunch/whatever. Good value for money.
