I ordered these specifically to keep the bracelets in my jewelry box in a crazy mess. The 3 inch box was perfect. I measured the bangles with raised surfaces to make sure they fit. Check out my photos. Less than 3 inches from outside edge to outside edge. Inside edge to inside edge is 2.75 inches. My soft bracelets or some fancy chunky earrings might work there, but definitely not solid metallic round ones. I don't like being misled and wasting my time. really annoys me The only reason I've treated the stars fairly at all is that while writing this review I realized I could use them for several other purposes. I am not sure if they are food safe. The moral is: Buyers beware!
