Great for water softener
After months of fighting leaks with my water softener using parts available at local plumbing stores and major stores, they do the job perfectly (and at a lower price). They are the perfect replacement for the old Quest/Quest fittings on my Kinetico softener and service bypass valve, and thanks to the included conical seal, this can be done without thread sealants like teflon tape or pipe lube. If you're connecting a water softener or bypass valve with 1" threads and PEX piping, these are definitely the fittings you need.
