Review on Tripod Benro T980EX MH2N, black by Agata Kaminska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

I have been taking pictures on SLRs (amateurally, for myself, family, colleagues) for many years, but I started shooting video (mainly concerts) just recently. This is my first tripod and as such it is a complete delight. I don't know how I lived all this time without him. I set the horizon before shooting, and that's it: rotate the camera as you like. Video after such shooting (if you carefully and slowly move the camera) does not require the Warp Stabilizer effect in Premiere Pro, which takes a lot of time to process. I just slightly tweaked the colors, contrast, highlights, shadows, and that's it - upload the finished video. I recommend it to fans, especially since it's budget, I took it for 5.5tr with delivery.

Pros
  • + The necessary freedom of movement for shooting video (the video head is still lubricated here). + Clamp adjustment on each of the axes: if you want - smoother, if you want - tighter. + Height range - you can shoot both sitting at a concert and standing upright. In addition to the extension of 3 sections of the legs, here the head holder goes up a good half a meter. + Rubberized "slippers" on legs with hinges - for any surface. + The presence of a holder for phones - someone will be a plus, I don't care. It is rather a tribute to fashion. I think that shooting from a phone on such a tripod is an overkill.
Cons
  • - Materials - everything: above the legs - plastic, the head is completely plastic. - Build quality at 4 - the head is fixed so that there is a slight skew relative to the vertical to the right in my copy, but this is easily corrected by the length of the legs. - Because of this skew, the level is not particularly useful, except for approximate settings, and then only on the image from the camera. - Still, a little harsh head movements, but for amateur shooting it will do.
