Review on πŸ–₯️ CP3 Case Fans - 120mm 3-Pin Fixed Color High Performance Fans for Gaming PCs (5 Pack) by Ananta Crowley

Quiet performance but

These fans are very quiet and move a lot of air. The performance/noise ratio is really very good! Surprisingly good, honestly. Party looks are a real downer here. The colors don't move at all. As you can see in the picture, they stay like that all the time and you can't change that. There's no way to dim them or make them pulsate, rainbows or anything else that makes RBG fun. They are colour-coded. Another shortcoming in the optics department is the cable situation. The fan header to the motherboard is fine, but it has a large Molex jumper on the back of that fan header, making it a major eyesore for any fan connection outside of the very edge of the motherboard. The workaround is: a) Use Molex power for the fan, but then you have no fan speed control, or b) Use wire cutters and cut off the Molex, which I had to do. To safely remove this Molex connector, I had to unplug the fan connector, which requires special tools, then physically cut the wire and reinsert the pins into the correct hole on the fan connector. The dangerous thing about all of this is that there's no warning that you can't connect all 5 fans to one header without a motherboard being rated for more than 1A of current through the connector, and most motherboards aren't rated for that. I absolutely wouldn't connect more than 3 fans to one, but you can't do that even if you remove the Molex as it ties the fans together. I'm very happy with how these fans work, I just wish there was a way to turn off the lights or change them in some way, and I wish there was a way to daisy chain them without a big Molex connector.
