I love this battery powered vacuum and when I replaced the brush/roller and belt I found that the roller no longer turns. I broke the "nozzle" and found that one of the wires to the reel drive motor was broken. This is not an easy decision - the wires are arranged in a very compact manner, making it almost impossible to solder them together. What to do - throw it all away or replace the nozzle (?) The presence of three good lithium-ion batteries influenced my decision. I bought a nozzle and installed it in less than a minute. My Hoover Linx is back in business! Next time this happens (if it does) I'll throw it out and replace it. Too close to the cost-benefit curve, but you essentially get a new vacuum when you change the nozzle.
