Poor design compared to old DataTravelers

Pros: It's a flash drive. It's 64G and it's not expensive. Cons: I bought this flash drive because I previously bought two Kingston DataTravelers circa 2011 and I liked the build quality. They were made from a single piece of metal (see photos comparing old and new version) and were almost impossible to break. They were perfect for putting on a keychain and taking with you on the go and I was hoping to have the same experience with the new ones. Unfortunately this is not what I received! The new disks are a kind of artificial metal. They are quite shiny but feel different and lighter than the old ones and sound very plastic when you smack them against something. They too are no longer a unit, but two synthetic metal parts with a seam in the middle and a separate plastic part for attaching the key fob. I am very disappointed with these changes and will not be buying Kingston. Data travelers of the future. Buyer warning! Much worse quality than before.
