After reading many reviews, there were some unanswered questions. So I will make them available Yes, it works with Moenttrol (push/pull system) Yes, it is compatible with 1225 cartridge No, it is not too heavy I have changed the cartridges in my Moenttrol controls. The previous owner of the house replaced the crystal knobs with levers from a different brand. It worked great with an old cartridge that wasn't well lubricated (and hard to get out). After replacing the cartridges, the grips became too heavy and went to the 6 o'clock position and a cold shower. We were concerned that the Moen 100224 grips would 1. not fit and 2. be too heavy and fall off. The plumber even contacted someone and said they weren't compatible. We took a risk and won. The handles are great. We also replaced the fairing (Moen part 16090) and stop tube (LASCO 03-1695). Everything looks great and works great. There are no installation instructions, but what to do is pretty obvious. Just note that when installing the handle to the handle base (it's two pieces) it should be perfectly aligned and may need some adjustment. As soon as he gets in line. The handle moves smoothly. If the handle is unstable (wobbles), the base or handle may not be screwed on tight enough. I didn't want to over tighten and the handle moved. I tightened the screws and it was stable.
