I received this refurbished speaker to connect to my Sony xb41 speaker in WPC mode as connecting up to 100 of these speakers should be a feature. I need a speaker in the back of my houseboat and one in the front so I can play both at a reasonable level instead of having one in the other room which I still can't hear when I'm on the other end of the line. After watching 40+ minutes of YouTube videos, trying the Sony Music Connect app, etc., I couldn't figure out the magic key combination and sync between speakers and app to ever get them to talk to each other in WPC or at a party to communicate . Mode. For the price alone I would give this speaker 5 stars. For what I've gotten so far, it's worth zero stars. Too bad because I will probably send it back. It shouldn't be that difficult to connect 2 speakers from the same company and system together as this is advertised as a feature for both. I replaced the larger Sony speaker it was not compatible with with something else unrelated to speakers. After going through a few of these speakers and eventually having 3, I'm now back to 2 and almost ready to go back again. loading problems? Yes. Again. connection problems? It's like a project that connects them almost every time. I thought I had a working stereo pair and they work that way from time to time, but having them play music through the iPhone and get connected, paired and charged is like a part-time job. In fact, I've had to hire an assistant for my evening chores, and sometimes half of his duties is trying to keep the music going. , it's a lot of work for a decent sound, if you can charge and plug them in then these speakers are a good choice for you. I usually give up on these things after a short time and just go back to the headphones.
