. Battery Powered Christmas Lights: $16.99 at the time of writing. Too early to start thinking about Christmas decorations? Costco doesn't think so, and neither do I. This little battery operated garland looked great in photos so I decided to give it a try. and unraveled it actually looked pretty good. I honestly had low expectations as artificial plant decorations often seem trite to me (especially those with "berries" on them). But this little garland looks prettier than I thought, even though it's still too early to arrange the Christmas decorations. And make no mistake, this is definitely a winter holiday decoration. It doesn't really look like what you want in the fall. The lighting works well, but I haven't tested how long the three AA batteries last. No matter how long it may take, it would be nice to have a timer. Even our small LED candles have 5 or 10 hour timers. -------------*Advantages*: High quality optics. Battery operated for convenient placement. *Bad side*: No timer. * Verdict: * These are neat little flashlights. In a few months they will be a great addition to our Christmas decorations. Four out of five stars for the holiday are felt, but the last star is lost due to the lack of a timer. I would probably order them again anyway as my wife loves them.
