The first thing that came up was an offer to connect the ceiling's wires somewhere else, DO NOT do this. open the door. So the mirror will turn off and on again when power is restored. Turning off the mirror before going out is no use as it will turn on by default after a power cut and turn on again. I've noticed a lot of wiring questions and haven't been able to find complete instructions for this year and similar Altima. I have decided to include some of them in this report. See photos for clarification. The first thing to do is remove the old mirror. Take a small screwdriver and push in and up to lift the clip, see image. Then grasp the outermost edges of the dome assembly and pull down. Apply some force and it will jump off. Then move it back slightly to avoid protrusions. Disconnect the two connectors, they have tabs that depress to release. Attach the new mirror with a hex head screw, I used a flat head screwdriver which fits perfectly. .Look for a square hole behind the ceiling above the mirror. Pull it down slightly and insert the wire. Put the included cover on the cables, one side connects to the mirror. Above the door opening, next to the headliner and A-pillar, pull the seal down and pull further down to the side panel next to the door hinge. Reach where the fuse box is and push the cover, it will pop out. Now where the headliner meets the A-pillar, pull the headliner down slightly so the connector we unplugged first goes through and into the area above the headliner. Keep pressing it until you can feel it with your hand through the hole in the dome. Reconnect the wiring harness. Don't remove the A-pillar, just thread the wire where the gasket was, I used a plastic spatula. Once you're near the cover we removed, feed the wires through any opening there. I used a screw hole in the metal to attach the ground wire with a bolt and nut. Then I measured the voltage for the switched and unswitched voltages. See photos for location. They are also unused points. Take a fuse and add it, connect it to the red one which switches and one to the yellow one which is constant. Add two 15A fuses at a time, add one fuse and then insert into the fuse locations indicated in the pictures. Roll up the wires, cover them with tape to keep them from unwinding, replace the cover and press the seal back into the door. Then put the cover back after connecting the wires. The manual explains how to program the Homelink button ( s). As for the rating, this is a really good mirror. The blackout is great and once you have it you will always want it. Homelink works well, at least as well as the remote control.
