Review on 🔀 TESmart 16x1 HDMI Switch: 4K@30Hz, RS-232/LAN Control, IR Remote, Auto Switch - Black by Jeremy Meza

This is one of the few 16-port HDMI switchers on the market. On the Revain product page, it says "Automatically detect and switch input". I understand that this means that the switch will automatically switch to that input when the connected HDMI device is powered on. This does not work for me. It's also unclear whether the switch actually enables this feature or not. Although this feature is listed on the Revain page, the manufacturer's website only lists the scheduled automatic scan feature. TESmart offers a download package that includes a PC control application. This app has a button to disable this feature. The attached PDF describes this feature as follows: Automatic input detection: When you connect a new HDMI input source to the switcher or turn on an HDMI input source, the switcher automatically selects the input port connected to that input source. When you turn off or turn off the HDMI input source, the switch moves to the input port that was the last plug-in or HDMI input source that was last turned on. This is exactly what I want, but it doesn't work even after using the app to turn it on. I have set up the application correctly so I can change other settings such as B. turning off the input change beep. I can also use it to change inputs. I should note that these other settings don't seem to be saved due to a power outage. To further confuse the existence of this feature, there is a second PDF included with PC Management. Download application. This is just the API documentation for the RS232 and IP control hex commands you can send to control the switch. That's a great thing, but I couldn't help but notice that automatic login detection and switching isn't listed in this document. I've emailed TESmart support and will update this review if they can help.
