It was pretty easy to install myself (but I love projects and use my new cordless drill!). I used a 1/4" bit instead of the recommended 5/16" bit, just in case. I'd rather have the hole too small to start than too big when installing the wall anchors. Before drilling, be sure to draw marks on the wall with a pencil. Measure and measure again! To save a little headache and time inserting and screwing in the dowel pin, start installing the screw before installing the accessory into the wall hardware. Nice coat hooks look great in my new home but are a little small for hanging a bath towel. I couldn't buy proper towel rails as I didn't have wall space. I bought matching toilet paper holders and a towel ring from the same family. Before starting the project I had a hardware specialist walk me through the installation instructions which was sooooo helpful!
