Review on πŸ” TYC 800093P Honda FIT Cabin Air Filter Replacement - Enhanced SEO-friendly Product Name by Jeff Morris

Dealers for less than $70!

One cannot help but conclude that replacing the cabin air filter is just another sneaky attempt to get more aftersales dollars for a car company. It does filter pollen from outside, but the fact of the matter is that the filter (OEM or non-genuine) is pretty weak, even compared to cheap domestic stove air filters. My final secondary filter had a small crease that left a gap where another commenter noted that most of the air was able to flow through the filter using the path of least resistance. This filter was bought on ebay. This particular filter came in a prettier box and popped in without wrinkling. Doesn't look better or worse than the OEM, but better than Ebay. And while that may seem like a substantial amount for what you get (compared to a household air filter), far fewer of these sizes are likely to be made. Still better than the overpriced dealer. Note that if you set the air to recirculate rather than outside, it will last much longer since you won't get as much exhaust, diesel soot, or pollen (you'll still get some - recirculation isn't 100% inside air). And you can vacuum the small amount of dust that accumulates over time.
