I've been looking for "the right" earphones for years. Although I rarely encountered real shit (skull candy). The amount of mediocrity was amazing, big brands like Monster, Sony, Phillips, V-Moda never failed to make a lasting impression. From the moment I took these headphones out of the box I thought something had changed. First, the headphone case is much larger than any other set I own. They have a unique shape that keeps most of the earmold out of the ear canal, and the weight of the set is deceptive. Size (much lighter than the size indicates). The surfaces are classic in color and design. Now we come to the important topic, the sound. I listen to many genres of music, from death metal to techno, from acoustic singer/songwriter to hood rat anthems. I wanted to test these headphones to see how they would perform. A common feature of all the music I played through these headphones was the well-defined low frequencies. Every kick from All Shall Perish, the strum of a MacBook from Skrillex, the sound of every strum reverberating from City and Color and the 808 from Maybach Music Group, they all ring out with pinpoint clarity. Many headphones lack clarity and definition. at low frequencies this does not apply to the SL99. In everything I played through the Soul SL99, there was an energy to the music that was often lost with other headphones. All in all SL99 reminds me what music is all about. should sound like.
