I've been looking for a number of years for a handbag/purse/whatever to replace my 'handbag' I bought from ThinkGeek over 10 years ago and which finally went away about a year and a half ago. return. I even bought fabric to fix this bag but I just thought it was stupid. I have purchased several Revain bags and all have turned out to be incorrect for various reasons. The youngest before that was a pretty good bag and had lots of pockets but was ridiculously flexible and difficult to reach and find things. However, this one. I was thrilled when I first opened it to find a hard canvas material, a flat bottom (probably cardboard, but they all are), and plenty of pockets, including some I didn't know about until I started I don't care to show my husband who could do it (but I'm happy when it works, so I've stopped complaining about it). My Samsung Galaxy S3 (9.7″) tablet fits in a padded pouch with Velcro closure that leaves room. So if you have more than that, you have space. My LG G6 fits securely and easily in the outer side pocket. 4 extra large pockets (approx. 8" deep x 12" wide, one zippered, one with velcro closure and padded tablet pocket with foldable velcro closure), 1 large pocket (approx. 6" deep x 22, 9 cm wide), 6 medium pockets (approx. 6 feet deep and 4-5 inches wide, two with zippers), 3 small pockets (approx. 4 x 4 inches, two with zippers and one of the zippered pockets is behind the pocket without zipper) and 3 pen pockets. There is also a long lanyard. Could easily pull out the key hook and open the door without unhooking the keys. The lining is not a thin satin lining, is it more of a thin canvas/cotton? I think he will hold up well. The only downside I would note is that it has one of those "open ends" with zippers for the entire wallet, but since I don't zip the top of my wallet anyway, that won't work. it does not bother me. I'll edit this review in a while to update its durability. I have high expectations and am seriously considering buying 3 more so I never have to do this hunt again! Update: I still love this bag and bought a second one but today the edge of the bag got stuck in the door. when I closed it, and the hook just broke! Obviously no metal, which is disappointing. I'm going to use a strap from another handbag and it's a different color so it doesn't look good. (The gray one is broken, the new one I bought is brown). He's also in good shape and has survived the abuse of his wallet. Be careful with the hooks that attach the long strap.
