The first three or four times I tried to pick the lock. Then it just didn't work. Tried the same combination as before over and over again. I called Master Lock Support and they only offered to replace the lock or send something similar. They didn't tell me how to take it off. I think I have options: bolt cutters or scissors to cut through the $70 bag it's on. I was stuck in the library lobby with forthcoming books locked in the backpack in question. It should also be noted that I bought THREE of these locks because there were three compartments in my backpack (RIP) that I wanted to secure because someone was trying to rob me on the subway platform. Revane sent all three in one color (Common sense, folks! Common sense - why would anyone need three red locks?)! Then, after setting the combinations, two of the three identical locks wouldn't open at all and I couldn't even use them. I should have taken it as a sign. I just thank my lucky stars that my wallet was locked in a bag and not inside. It's still no fun paying a cab to get home because my SEPTA pass was locked in my backpack. As for the people who say this thing doesn't fit in the locker they're trying to close, it's for backpacks and luggage, and let's just say it's more secure than you can imagine.
