R55 Mini here - bought because the ring on my key fob finally snapped and fell off (50k on the car). I bought it in blue as my car is "Electric Blue". Does the color match? Pretty much, I'd say it accounts for about 10% of the hue of the car's paintwork (specifically, it's a bit darker than the car's paintwork). If you have a Mini in "light blue" (they don't call it that, but it's light blue) that blue trim is going to look very odd and I would recommend going with a different color. It doesn't quite match the keychain; It fits snugly (doesn't dangle like some reports) but the ends don't converge/close *quite* around the fob, there's a 2mm gap. If there was no gap I would bet 5/5.
