I have a 2016 Honda Accord Touring (with factory amp). I don't think it's important, but I'll add it just in case it's important to everyone. In any case, this cable set is used to adapt the factory connector A (24-pin main connector) of the head unit to the AFTERMARKET solution. It is NOT fully populated. Only 13 of the 24 pins are used: 3 of the 4 "outer" pins are present (the dimmer pin is missing as shown in the upper left corner of the attached image). If you're aware, the Scosche HA11B is 14/24 pins, so I'd probably suggest that instead. In addition to this product, I accidentally ordered a competing product. This is BHA1729 from "Best Kits” which I bought elsewhere and seems much easier to replicate than this product. I would highly recommend and am buying another one as my original plan of splitting the BHA1729 and putting its pins in these Metra 70-1729 didn't work out. This product is MUCH HARDER to reattach than the BHA1729 which literally just snaps into the reattachment. Personally, I want to create an extension cord about 1 foot long for port A because I plan on connecting an extra power cord. I want to use a relay whose input is the window circuit (connects to the internal fuse box) to power the main unit for 10 minutes or until the door opens, just like the windows. If you want to do the same, there are two parts lists you can follow: A) Simpler • 3x BHA1729 from "Best Kits" - unclip the bottom row of two of these, insert pins into the top and bottom rows of the third • 1x Metra 71-1729 (NOT this product! Male equivalent fully stocked)B) Heavier • 2x BHA1729 from Best Kits - detach both rows of one of these, insert pins into the other • 1x Metra 71-1729 (NOT this product ! Male equivalent which is filled in full) The reason method B is more difficult is because while you technically have enough pens with 2 BHA1729 / Scosche HA11B / Metra 70-1729 I found it EXTREMELY difficult to remove the top row of pins. As you can see in the attached image, all three connectors have the top row slightly obscured by a plastic protrusion. The bottom row of BHA1729 was easy to remove with a sewing needle and some patience. In the end, my final piece of advice is: • The BHA1729 from Best Kits is a great product, but it made it easier for me to order 3 instead of 2 and unclip the bottom row of two to fit both rows of the third. • This product, Metra 70-1729, is the WORST of the three. BHA1729 is much easier to repin than this product. • Scosche HA11B - Just looking at the PICTURES the HA11B appears to be similar to my BHA1729 but unfortunately I don't have the HA11B so I can't confirm that. But at least HA11B is BETTER than this product.
