Review on Dyson DC17 Vacuum Hose Assembly by Miguel Saiz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

You can repair your old hose the same way you repair a new one

I figured I could just buy a new hose and replace the old hose with holes with a metal tube that fits the hose to use. like a vertical vacuum. I watched a video on how to repair a Dyson hose by holding the end of the hose in hot water to soften the plastic/rubber, pushing in the tabs and pulling out the end of the hose, cutting off the perforated part of the hose, Cut part of the tubing into a metal coil and reconnect. Well, to install a new hose, you need to remove the end of the hose, put the hose through a hole in a vacuum that won't separate, and then reattach the end of the hose. So don't buy this and think you can just stick it in your car.
