As a graphic designer, the watches I wear make a statement on many levels. Most watches I've come across fall somewhere between beautiful but cluttered, expensive and simple but cheap, or poorly designed. After several months of observation, I came across what I consider to be the perfect Slow watch. I was attracted by the vintage look, the strict geometry and the clear design. The watch has a pleasant weight and high-quality and durable materials catch the eye at first glance. It cost more than I typically pay for an everyday watch, but I was ready for an upgrade. The 24-hour display is unique, but takes some getting used to. It's hard to go from a watch with a 12-hour display and a seconds hand to a watch like this where you end up guessing the exact time to within a quarter of an hour. As far as I can tell, the clock has been accurate to the minute for several months. The leather strap is very nice, but takes time to tear and makes it difficult to remove the watch. I think I would have preferred a NATO style water resistant nylon strap. The clock will be a great talking point and a highlight in my EDC. I am very happy with my purchase. I think it will have a place on my wrist for years to come.
