This is one of the best cartilage rings I have ever worn. I used to wear captive ball rings but after buying this one I will never go back. It snaps easily into place, but is still secure. It's incredibly cute and hasn't caused me any problems or addiction to sleeping or styling or combing my hair. Plus, the entire piece is made from the same material, meaning everything stays nice and shiny without tarnishing or rusting. Now I have the same ring in both cartilage piercings and just love them. They definitely stand the test of time and stay as shiny and clean as the day I put them on.
