Downsizing compared to SS version

I have a large version of this short sleeve shirt that fits great (6ft - 200lbs - athletic build). I had the long sleeve version in size L, but it seems to fit like XL: looser at the shoulder, chest and especially the neck (like it's stretched). I'm hoping after a few washes it will match my SS version but for now it's larger. Next time I will downsize
