Review on πŸ’‘ CORSAIR RMX White Series, RM850x, 850W, 80 Plus Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply - White by Jonny Dogruyol

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Came with a broken cable. No post nightmare.

Comes with shorted SATA cable. Luckily it comes with two power supplies and I only needed one. However. I went through my entire build and spent hours on pro-level wiring. only to rip everything apart and eliminate the breadboard problem. It turned out that the SATA cable had a short circuit. But not the easy one, where he is dead or not dead. Oh no. It works perfectly when I connect it to the tester. But it turns out that if you move, tap or shake it, it turns itself off. This cable took me 6 hours to troubleshoot. I have assembled my computer four times. First build, third build after testbench build, all tested and last build after I started swapping cables after getting the message finally used the old PSU. Look, the power supply is now working properly. The rest of the cables all work. But it's a $150 PSU. I expect better. I won't be returning it because it works fine now and I really only have one SATA cable which I don't need for this build. But to be honest, 90% of people would never put that much effort into troubleshooting and would have to send it back. My build isn't as clean and absolutely perfect in terms of cable routing as the original build. But I ended up playing around with it for a while. It works, it's cleaner than most and it should be done. I used 47 zip ties for the initial assembly. Final Build 11. Done. PS: --- I have already bought and tested a Corsair power supply. Different model and 2+ years ago. -- I had to delete this review in order to write this one. Businesses, especially tech companies, shouldn't be allowed to collect old reviews to improve reviews of new products. A different product line should mean a different set of reviews. Make sure you filter to only show reviews for the product you are purchasing. It's like reading a 2010 Toyota Highlander review when you buy a 2018 Toyota Corolla.
