Item came new and in unopened packaging but with part broken (Center It Clip); The product packaging itself is just a cardboard box with no cushioning materials. After contacting the seller we both suspect the item bounced around badly during shipping which damaged the plastic centering clip. The seller (Josar Supply) offered me a choice of a full or partial refund to keep the item and work with the manufacturer (M-Power) to replace the part with a hassle free product warranty. I chose the latter option and sent an inquiry to the manufacturer (M-Power Tools in the UK); Within a few hours I received the confirmation of the guarantee and the spare part in approx. 10 days (additional shipping time overseas from UK to USA) - M-Power Tools even sent 2 identical spare parts. If this part breaks again, I'd have a spare on hand. I am very impressed with the quick service I received from the local seller and the solution of the warranty issue with M-Power and have upgraded my rating to 5 stars as my product purchase is intact and I am very satisfied. The sharpening system is ideal for plane irons and chisels. I love that this set comes with a sturdy storage case and is functional, contains multiple stone grits and makes it easy to adjust the bevel angle of your blade (4 angle options) with a 180Β° rotation of the whetstone or move it to the opposite side of the car. Setup is very quick and easy, replacing larger/rougher rocks or your chisel/blade clamp with a sharpening guide to keep the tool beveled while sharpening, and you can also use this system to change the bevel angle of your cutting edge - however I am However, I'm not sure that the MK2 completely eliminates EVERY other cutting system, especially those that allow for more efficient and aggressive forming. Angles, but even these systems require you to work slowly to avoid overheating the tool and losing blade speed. Do you need to adjust the edge of the chisel while working? and place the back of the chisel on the base so the edge of the blade engages the stone sled, then pass the sled over it 5-6 times and you'll be back in business within a minute. / Adjust the angle guide and then remove the guide before using the bit again. and the grinding wheel/grinder does not take up any extra space on your desk. Just select a brick/corner in the slide, place the blade, move it back and forth a few times and voila. You can imagine the real time savings of quickly setting up an entire set of bits before putting them away at the end of the day, rather than spending time setting/adjusting the bevel run on each bit. The set also includes a leather strap. attached to the underside of the base and a non-slip mat for use on a table top, rather than attaching the base to a board/bracket to permanently attach to a work surface. In the short term I plan to use an anti-slip mat and store the slides/bricks in the included storage bag until I can enlarge my magazine to accommodate more tool room.
