I have a 2006 GMC Envoy and have been wanting to get a backup camera for a long time. After looking at several cameras here at Revain I decided to give this one a try. I love that I can choose to plug it into my backup lights or plug it into the dash socket on my truck. I chose the plug option as my license plate is on a tailgate and it would be a bit difficult to tie it to my reverse lights. Sometimes I forget to turn it off when I leave the room. But I'll see where I've been! lol! The cables from the camera to the monitor are more than enough. I actually had to knit something because of the length. The image on the monitor is clear, easily adjustable in brightness, color and size. The guide selection is pretty decent, although I wish there were a bit more width settings. However, I still had to practice handling it a little. LED lights are a definite plus for me. They added a bit more light at night and made it easier to see the objects behind me and the park lines. It's also great to see people following my truck in parking lots at night. So far the tape that came with the monitor has held up very well. I like that the monitor can be removed from the holder. I use this option to avoid cluttering the dashboard. The camera itself is very easy to set up when installed on a license plate. I decided to place it behind my plate instead of in front. Once I got the camera to the correct height I tightened the tension screws and so far it hasn't slipped or fallen off. You need to clean the lens regularly as it gets dirty from road dirt. All in all I would recommend this camera and would buy it again if the need arose. And hope it won't be long. If anything changes I will update my review.
